Meet your Ultimate group leader and fellow travelers at 10 AM for an orientation session, where we’ll go over everything you need to know about working and traveling in Australia. Day 2 : Work & Travel Essentials + St Kilda Beach

Start your morning with a Work & Travel information session, where our experts will help you set up your bank account, tax file number, and SIM card. We’ll also introduce you to our 12-month job support program, connecting you with employers across Australia. In the afternoon, explore St Kilda Beach—relax on the sand, visit the lively promenade, and soak in the Aussie beach vibes.

Day 3 : Stand-Up Paddleboarding & Melbourne Nightlife

This morning, hit the water for an exciting Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) lesson at St Kilda Beach. Our expert instructors will have you paddling like a pro in no time! Day 4 : Botanical Gardens & Free Afternoon

In the evening, enjoy backpacker bingo and pizza night at Red Eye Bar!

Day 6 : The Great Ocean Road Adventure

Today, we hit the road for one of Australia’s most famous coastal drives—the Great Ocean Road. Stop at Bells Beach, home to world-class surfing, and Torquay, the birthplace of surf brands like Rip Curl and Quiksilver. Drive through the Great Otway National Park, spotting wild koalas and lush rainforests. Marvel at the Twelve Apostles, Loch Ard Gorge, and London Bridge before returning to Melbourne in the evening.

Travel insurance is compulsory for all ULTIMATE tours. Please ensure you have adequate coverage for any trip taken.

Am I contributing to any charity by booking the tour?
We are proud to support two fantastic charities empowering communities to be more self-sufficient. The Kiva Foundation provides interest free loans to people in remote communities who would like financial assistance for things such as education and improving their homes. Life Project Cambodia has a simple objective – they want to give communities in Cambodia the opportunity to create their own solutions to poverty. The work they do empowers the people in these communities to make the changes they need, rather than having to rely on others to do that for them promoting self-sufficiency.

Will I need vaccinations?
We recommend making an appointment with your GP to discuss which vaccinations may be required for your trip. There are no mandatory vaccinations for of our tours as the destinations we travel to are considered low risk. You should generally consult with your GP 4-6 weeks prior to your travels. Deciding whether to get vaccinated before you travel is a personal choice.

Who will be my group leader?
Our Group Leaders are responsible for making sure your experience travelling is the best it can possibly be! All 'Ultimate' branded tours are led by Group Leaders selected by Ultimate Travel. All 'Adventure', 'Experience' 'Camp' and 'Course' tours are led by our partner operators on the ground in the tours location.

Ultimate Adventure Travel allows you to transfer existing payments to a future tour to avoid cancellation fees if you can't travel and inform ultimate adventure travel, 28 days before departure.
